Amex offers targeted Platinum holders $50 back on $500 in hotel bookings

A targeted Amex Offer gives personal Platinum cardholders a $50 statement credit after $500 in qualifying prepaid hotel bookings. Eligible cardholders can combine it with the Platinum card’s $300 July–December hotel credit.

What Changed
Targeted personal Platinum cardholders have an Amex Offer for a one-time $50 statement credit after spending $500 across one or more qualifying bookings. Bookings must be prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection reservations made through AmexTravel.com or the Amex Travel App. Eligible purchases must be paid in USD during the offer period by December 31, 2026. Some cardholders have an alternate offer for $80 back after $800.
Our Take
This is useful if you already plan a qualifying hotel stay, especially if you can also use the $300 July–December hotel credit. Spending more on a hotel solely to earn the statement credit may not be worthwhile.
