Bank Currencies
Chase Ultimate Rewards2.05¢/pt
Hyatt Category 1 to 4 nights
Transfer UR to World of Hyatt and book chart-priced rooms from 3,500 to 18,000 points. Mid-tier Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties near 300 dollar cash rates routinely return 2.5 to 3 cents per point.
Hyatt all-inclusives
Hyatt's Inclusive Collection resorts price by chart, with rooms covering two people including food and drink. Against 700 dollar plus cash rates, 25,000 to 45,000 point nights are some of the best hotel value anywhere.
Flying Blue Promo Rewards to Europe
Flying Blue discounts a rotating set of routes by 25 to 50 percent each month. Catching business class to Paris or Amsterdam on promo pricing with a 1:1 instant-ish transfer is a repeatable play, not a unicorn.
British Airways Avios short-haul partners
Avios prices by distance, so short American Airlines and Alaska flights inside North America can cost well under what the airlines' own programs charge. Transfer 1:1 only after you find the partner seat.
United awards with the Excursionist Perk
Transfer to United for Star Alliance bookings with no fuel surcharges, and use the Excursionist Perk to attach a free extra segment inside a multi-city itinerary.
Virgin Atlantic for Delta One
Virgin Atlantic often prices Delta transatlantic business class below SkyMiles' own dynamic rates. Check Virgin's pricing before paying Delta's.
Amex Membership Rewards2.00¢/pt
ANA round-the-world business class
Transfer MR to ANA and book a round-the-world business class itinerary with multiple stopovers for a points price that undercuts almost every other program. The booking rules are strict, but the value per point is absurd.
ANA round-trip business to Japan
ANA's own round-trip pricing between the US and Japan in business class is among the cheapest paths across the Pacific. Round-trip only, and transfers take up to 48 hours, so line up dates first.
Virgin Atlantic for ANA first class
Virgin Atlantic books ANA first class at rates that have made this the most famous sweet spot in the hobby. Space is scarce. When it appears, a 1:1 MR transfer to Virgin is the move.
Aeroplan partner awards with stopovers
Transfer to Aeroplan for Star Alliance coverage, no fuel surcharges on most partners, and stopovers added to one-way awards for 5,000 points.
Avianca LifeMiles for Lufthansa first
LifeMiles books Star Alliance premium cabins without fuel surcharges. When Lufthansa first class space opens close to departure, LifeMiles is one of the cheapest doors in.
Flying Blue Promo Rewards
Monthly discounted award routes to Europe, often 25 to 50 percent off. Stack a transfer bonus on top of a Promo Reward and the per-point value gets silly.
Capital One Miles1.80¢/pt
Turkish Miles&Smiles for domestic United
Transfer to Turkish and book United-operated domestic economy at chart prices that massively undercut United's own dynamic pricing. The booking process tests your patience. The savings pay for it.
Turkish to Hawaii on United
The same Turkish chart has covered mainland-to-Hawaii flights on United metal at rates far below market. When space is there, nothing else in the hobby books Hawaii cheaper.
Aeroplan stopovers
Transfer to Aeroplan and add a stopover to a one-way international award for 5,000 points, turning one trip into two cities with no fuel surcharges on most partners.
Wyndham 1:1 for Vacasa rentals
Wyndham points book Vacasa vacation rentals at flat nightly rates. A big beach or mountain house at 30,000 points a night can return well over 2 cents per Capital One mile.
Avianca LifeMiles surcharge-free Star Alliance
LifeMiles adds no fuel surcharges on Star Alliance awards, making it the clean-booking option for Lufthansa, ANA, and other partners when their own programs pile on fees.
Citi ThankYou Points1.80¢/pt

Choice at 1:2 in Scandinavia and Japan
The 1:2 ratio doubles your points into a program with underpriced award rates at Nordic Choice and Japanese properties. Done right, this clears 2 cents per ThankYou Point on hotel stays.
Turkish Miles&Smiles Star Alliance chart
The same Turkish chart magic available to Capital One works from Citi: cheap United-metal domestic awards and strong international business class pricing.
EVA Air business class across the Pacific
Citi is a rare direct transfer door into EVA's Infinity MileageLands, which books EVA's excellent business class to Taipei and beyond without hunting partner space.
Bilt Points2.00¢/pt

Wells Fargo Rewards1.50¢/pt

Choice at 1:2 for Scandinavia and Japan
Doubling points into Choice unlocks strong nightly values at Nordic and Japanese properties where cash rates are high and award prices are not.
Avios short-haul partner flights
Distance-based Avios pricing makes short partner hops cheap. Transfer 1:1 only after finding the seat.
Avianca LifeMiles surcharge-free long-haul
LifeMiles books Star Alliance premium cabins without fuel surcharges, giving a small program a legitimate long-haul business class exit.
Virgin Atlantic partner awards
Virgin's partner rates for ANA premium cabins and Delta transatlantic seats are reachable from Wells Fargo at 1:1, a trophy exit for a 95 dollar program.
Airline Miles
United MileagePlus1.20¢/pt
Excursionist Perk free segment
On a multi-region round trip award, United includes one free one-way segment within a region. A US to Europe trip can include a free intra-Europe flight at zero added miles.
Star Alliance partners with no surcharges
United never passes fuel surcharges on awards. Lufthansa, Swiss, and Turkish business class bookings that cost hundreds in fees elsewhere cost almost nothing in cash through United.
Cardholder expanded saver space
United Explorer and higher cardholders see saver awards that the public calendar hides. The extra space is often the difference between a bookable trip and a dead end.
Cheap dynamic domestic economy
United regularly prices off-peak domestic economy at 5,000 to 8,000 miles one way. At those levels the redemption beats our 1.2 cent valuation comfortably.
ANA and Asia partners in business
Trans-Pacific business class on ANA and other Star Alliance partners books at fixed partner levels through United, with availability United metal rarely matches.
American AAdvantage1.40¢/pt
Qatar Qsuites to Doha
Around 70,000 miles one way in business class between the US and Doha, with onward connections across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Still the benchmark partner award in the hobby.
Japan Airlines premium cabins
JAL business and first class to Tokyo at fixed partner levels, with no fuel surcharges through American. Space is scarce but the price holds.
Etihad through Abu Dhabi
Etihad business class awards price attractively on the partner chart and open up one-stop routings to the Middle East, India, and beyond.
Web Specials on domestic routes
Dynamic discounts drop one-way economy awards to 5,000 to 7,500 miles on off-peak dates. Cheap, plentiful, and perfect for positioning flights.
Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong and beyond
Cathay business and first class book through AAdvantage at partner levels when space appears, and the product still ranks among the best in the sky.
Delta SkyMiles1.15¢/pt
SkyMiles flash sales
Delta's recurring deals cut specific routes hard, including Delta One to Europe at 50,000 to 75,000 miles and domestic hops under 10,000. The sale calendar is the real award chart.
TakeOff 15 cardholder discount
Delta Amex cardholders get 15 percent off Delta-operated award flights automatically. It applies on top of sale pricing and quietly improves every redemption.
Off-peak Latin America and Caribbean
Dynamic pricing to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean frequently dips to levels that beat cash fares, especially outside holiday windows.
Amex transfer bonuses into Delta
Periodic 15 to 25 percent transfer bonuses from Membership Rewards effectively discount every SkyMiles award you book during the window.
Companion certificates over miles
Delta Platinum and Reserve companion certificates can cover a second transcon or Caribbean ticket for taxes. On many trips the certificate beats any miles redemption.
Southwest Rapid Rewards1.35¢/pt
Companion Pass two-for-one math
With the pass active, every point is worth roughly double because a companion flies for taxes. A 1.35 cent currency becomes an effective 2.7 cents on every booked flight.
Early-year qualification window
Hit 135,000 qualifying points in January and the pass runs through December of the following year. Timing card bonuses for early January buys nearly two years of benefit.
Free cancellation as a strategy
Award bookings refund to your account instantly. Book the flight you might take, rebook every fare drop, and never pay for indecision.
Wanna Get Away fare sales
Southwest's recurring fare sales translate directly into cheap awards because points price against the fare. Sale fares under 50 dollars often book for under 3,000 points.
Chase transfer top-offs
Ultimate Rewards transfer instantly at 1:1, so you never need to overbuy Southwest points. Top off the exact amount for the booking in front of you.
Alaska Mileage Plan1.45¢/pt
Japan Airlines business class to Tokyo
JAL business class between the US and Japan books through Alaska at partner levels that undercut most programs, on one of the best business products flying.
Cathay Pacific premium cabins via Hong Kong
Cathay business and first class awards through Alaska open one-stop routings across Asia, and pricing remains strong relative to the cash fares.
Free stopover on one-way awards
Alaska allows a stopover on a one-way award, even on partners. Tokyo for a week on the way to Bangkok costs zero additional miles.
Crediting partner flights to Alaska
Distance-based earning means cheap long-haul oneworld fares credited to Mileage Plan can return more mile value than the programs that sold the ticket.
Buy-miles sales for targeted bookings
Alaska's periodic mileage sales can price a JAL or Cathay business award below the cash fare. Buy only against a specific bookable award, never speculatively.
Air France/KLM Flying Blue1.30¢/pt
Monthly Promo Rewards
Rotating 25 to 50 percent discounts on specific routes each month. Discounted business class to Europe in the 35,000 to 45,000 mile range appears regularly.
US to Europe business at starting levels
Saver-level business class from the East Coast to Paris or Amsterdam starts in the 50,000 to 60,000 mile range, bookable with instant transfers from six bank programs.
20,000-mile economy to Europe
Off-peak economy awards start around 20,000 miles one way, a fair deal that turns modest card bonuses into transatlantic trips.
Transfer bonus stacking
Bank transfer bonuses of 15 to 25 percent appear several times a year. Stacked on a Promo Reward, the effective mile cost drops by half or more.
SkyTeam partner coverage
Flying Blue books Delta, Virgin Atlantic, and the broader SkyTeam network, often at better prices than the operating carrier's own program.
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club1.40¢/pt
ANA first class via Virgin
Round-trip ANA first class between the US and Japan through Flying Club remains the most celebrated award in the hobby, pricing far below what most programs charge for the same cabin.
ANA business class round trips
ANA business class round trips booked through Virgin undercut nearly every alternative for trans-Pacific lie-flat seats. Book round trip; one ways are not the strength here.
Delta One to Europe
Virgin prices Delta One transatlantic awards at fixed partner levels that routinely beat Delta's own dynamic pricing for the identical seat.
Domestic Delta economy
Short domestic Delta flights book through Virgin at low fixed levels, a quiet alternative when SkyMiles pricing runs hot.
Transfer bonus arbitrage
With bonuses to Virgin appearing several times a year across Amex, Citi, and others, patient bookers routinely acquire these awards at a 20 to 30 percent discount.
Avianca LifeMiles1.35¢/pt
Lufthansa first class with no surcharges
Lufthansa first class opens to partners near departure, and LifeMiles books it for taxes only while other programs add hundreds in surcharges.
Star Alliance business to Europe
Transatlantic business class on Lufthansa, Swiss, and other partners books at competitive levels with zero fuel surcharges attached.
Buy-miles sale arbitrage
Sales with 125 percent or larger bonuses can price a business class award below the cash fare for the same seat. Buy only against confirmed space.
Short intra-region partner hops
Intra-Europe and intra-Asia Star Alliance awards price modestly and avoid the cash fare premiums short international flights carry.
Transfer bonus stacking
Periodic transfer bonuses from Amex, Citi, and Capital One discount every LifeMiles award booked during the window.
Air Canada Aeroplan1.40¢/pt
Stopovers for 5,000 points
Add a stopover of up to 45 days on a one-way award for 5,000 points. One award, two destinations, on partners across and beyond Star Alliance.
Distance-band transatlantic business
Shorter East Coast to Western Europe routings fall into lower distance bands, pricing business class below what most programs charge for the same ocean crossing.
No fuel surcharges on any partner
Lufthansa, Swiss, and other surcharge-heavy carriers book through Aeroplan for taxes plus a small partner fee. The chart price is the real price.
Beyond-alliance partners
Etihad, Oman Air, and other non-Star partners are bookable with Aeroplan points and can be mixed with Star Alliance carriers on a single award.
Mixed-partner round-the-world style routings
The routing rules permit multiple partners and generous connections on one ticket, enabling itineraries that would take three separate awards elsewhere.
JetBlue TrueBlue1.30¢/pt
Mint on sale fares
Fixed value means a Mint fare sale is a points sale. Discounted transcon and transatlantic Mint cash fares convert to lie-flat awards at modest point totals.
Points pooling for families
Households combine balances into one pool at no cost, turning scattered small balances into bookable awards faster than any individual could.
Sale-fare economy redemptions
Because points price against fares, JetBlue's recurring fare sales translate directly into cheap awards on East Coast, Caribbean, and transcon routes.
Top-off transfers from Chase and Citi
Instant 1:1 transfers mean you never overbuy. Move the exact shortfall for the booking in the cart and keep the rest flexible.
Free cancellation rebooking
Points bookings cancel back to the account, so booking early and rebooking every fare drop is a strategy with no downside.
Hotel Points
World of Hyatt1.70¢/pt
Category 1-4 certificate at peak-priced city hotels
The anniversary certificate from the $95 cobrand card clears $250 to $400 of value at Category 4 properties like the Hyatt Regency in major US cities during event compression. That is a 3x to 4x return on the annual fee before counting anything else.
Park Hyatt stays under 45,000 points
Every Park Hyatt in the world, including Paris-Vendome and Kyoto, caps at 45,000 points on peak dates and 35,000 off-peak. Cash rates at these hotels often exceed $1,200 a night, which pushes redemptions past 2.5 cents per point.
Category 1 and 2 hotels from 3,500 points
Off-peak Category 1 nights cost 3,500 points, which means a single Chase transfer of 35,000 points can cover ten nights. Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties across secondary US cities and much of Asia sit in these categories.
All-inclusive Hyatt resorts on the chart
Hyatt prices Inclusive Collection resorts like Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva on a per-person award chart that covers room, food, and drink. During holiday weeks when cash rates spike, the fixed award pricing turns into one of the few ways to do all-inclusive travel on points at strong value.
Points + Cash to stretch a small balance
Half points plus a reduced cash rate, and the stay still earns points and elite nights. On mid-category hotels this regularly beats paying either full cash or full points when your balance will not cover the whole trip.
Miraval and Alila wellness resorts
Miraval awards include the resort credit and program inclusions that cash guests pay four figures for. At 45,000 points peak for a property charging $1,500 or more per night all-in, this is among the highest cent-per-point redemptions in any hotel program.
Marriott Bonvoy0.80¢/pt
Fifth night free on every five-night award
The cheapest night in each block of five prices at zero. On a 200,000-point luxury stay this returns 40,000 points, and it stacks across ten-night bookings. It is the only structural discount left in the program and the backbone of every good Bonvoy redemption.
Brilliant 85,000-point certificate with a 15,000 top-up
The annual award from the $650 Brilliant card reaches hotels pricing up to 100,000 points, which includes St. Regis and Ritz-Carlton properties charging $800 or more a night. Used well, the certificate alone outweighs the annual fee.
Off-peak luxury in Asia and the Middle East
Award pricing at properties like the St. Regis Bangkok or JW Marriotts across Southeast Asia often sits in the 25,000 to 45,000 range while delivering service that would cost double in the US or Europe. Per-point returns routinely clear 1 cent.
Compression-date arbitrage in big cities
Award prices lag cash spikes. During marathons, conferences, and holiday weeks, a room selling for $700 cash sometimes still books for 50,000 to 60,000 points. Check awards first whenever cash rates look absurd.
Homes & Villas and unique-footprint resorts
Marriott's reach into safari lodges, overwater resorts, and vacation rentals covers places no other program touches. When the alternative is a four-figure cash rate with no Hyatt or Hilton option, even 0.8 cent points are the cheapest way in.
Hilton Honors0.50¢/pt
Aspire free night at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives
The annual Aspire certificate works any night at nearly any property, and overwater villas that sell for $2,000-plus a night are bookable with it when standard award space exists. This is the single highest-value certificate redemption in the hobby.
Capped standard awards during peak cash rates
Standard room awards tend to top out even when cash rates do not. Holiday weeks at Conrad and Waldorf resorts in the Caribbean and Hawaii regularly return 0.8 to 1.5 cents per point against four-figure cash rates.
Fifth night free on long resort stays
All cobrand cardholders are elites, and elites get the cheapest night of every five free on standard awards. A ten-night Maldives or Hawaii booking drops two nights of points automatically.
Gold breakfast abroad from a $150 card
The Surpass grants Gold, and Gold still means real free breakfast at most Hilton properties outside the US. For a family of four over a week-long trip, that is several hundred dollars of food off the bill.
All-inclusive Hilton resorts on points
Hilton's all-inclusive footprint in Mexico and the Caribbean prices room, food, and drink into the award. When cash rates for two adults clear $700 a night, the points price often holds under 100,000, beating the program's average value comfortably.
IHG One Rewards0.60¢/pt
Fourth night free on every award booking
Premier cardholders get the cheapest fourth night free on award stays with no usage limit. Book in four-night blocks and the program's effective point value rises 25 percent before you optimize anything else.
40,000-point certificate with a points top-up
The anniversary cert books up to 40,000 points outright and can be topped up with points beyond that. Pointed at a city InterContinental or a resort Holiday Inn over $250 a night, it repays the $99 fee several times.
InterContinental and Kimpton during compression
Award prices lag cash spikes at the top brands. When an InterContinental wants $500 cash and 70,000 points, the redemption clears 0.7 cents, and a four-night block pushes the effective rate near a full cent.
Six Senses and Regent aspirational stays
IHG's luxury wing reaches properties with $1,000-plus cash rates. Award pricing is steep but capped only by demand, and paired with the fourth night free, these are the program's headline redemptions.
Points sales below half a cent
IHG sells points at 100 percent bonus levels several times a year, which prices the currency near 0.5 cents. Buying exactly enough for a planned four-night, high-value redemption beats paying cash for the same stay.
Wyndham Rewards1.00¢/pt
Vacasa multi-bedroom rentals at 15,000 per bedroom
A four-bedroom mountain or beach house renting for $800 a night books for 60,000 points. For group trips this is the single best use of Capital One or Citi transfers to any hotel program, full stop.
Caesars Diamond through the Earner Business card
Card Diamond matches to Caesars Diamond, which waives resort fees in Las Vegas and adds property perks. Two Vegas trips a year in resort fee savings alone outearns the $95 annual fee.
Flat 15,000 points at peak-season resorts
Award prices never rise, so spring break and summer weekends at Wyndham beach and lake resorts charging $300-plus deliver 2 cents per point while the same award costs the same points in January.
Go Fast awards on road trips
3,000 points plus a reduced cash rate per night stretches a modest balance across many stops. For long drives through markets full of La Quinta and Wingate properties, it is the cheap, repeatable play.
Event-weekend economy hotels
When a festival or a game pushes a $90 hotel to $350, the award still costs 15,000 points. Wyndham's enormous economy footprint means it has a property near almost every event in America.
