The Compound Verdict

If you must go unsecured with damaged credit, this is the least punishing way to do it: one transparent annual fee instead of the layered fee stacks Credit One and Concora run. A no-fee secured card is still cheaper, but as subprime unsecured cards go, Avant plays it straight.
