The Compound Verdict

When it launched in November 2017 the Uber Visa was instantly the best no-fee dining card in America: 4 percent on restaurants, real cash back, phone protection and a streaming credit. The October 2019 revamp cut dining to 3 percent and converted earnings to Uber Cash, and the audience left. Barclays converted remaining accounts to the View Mastercard on October 22, 2021, closing one of the great brief runs in card history.
