The Compound Verdict
A legitimately good card from the most unlikely issuer in America. Flat 2% with no fees matches Citi Double Cash and adds Amex network protections. Some applicants now see a targeted $200 offer, but do not count on it; the only real maintenance otherwise is using it occasionally so Bread Financial does not shut it down for boredom.
