Earning Rates
- 3xExpedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo bookings
- 3xGas stations, grocery stores and dining
- 1.5xEverything else
Credits
No statement credits, this card wins on earn rates, not coupons.
Benefits
- ✦Instant Silver tier in the One Key program
- ✦OneKeyCash never needs a minimum to redeem
- ✦No foreign transaction fees
Why it earns its spot
- +3% on gas, grocery and dining is strong for a no fee card
- +1.5% floor everywhere else
Where it costs you
- −OneKeyCash only spends inside Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo
- −Expedia has paused One Key's international rollout and trimmed Vrbo earning, so the program's direction is shaky
The Compound Verdict
The earn rates read like a solid cash back card, but the payout is store credit for one travel agency. That is fine if Expedia is genuinely your booking home, and shaky given how much Expedia has already walked back the One Key program since launch. The welcome offer has also drifted down from $400 to $250, which tells you something about its priority.
