The Compound Verdict

The 2018 Propel relaunch was Wells Fargo's loudest swing in years: 3x on dining, gas, travel, transit and streaming with no annual fee, a combination nothing else matched. Wells stopped taking applications in 2021 as it rebuilt its card lineup, and the Autograph that launched in 2022 is its direct successor, with remaining Propel holders migrated into that family. The no-fee 3x bar Propel set still gets cited.
