What Changed
Eligible cardholders can earn the credit on qualifying purchases at participating US Best Buy stores or BestBuy.com using their enrolled card. Purchases must be made directly with Best Buy in US dollars and cannot be shipped outside the US. Gift cards, Best Buy Outlet locations, Best Buy Business, Best Buy partnerships, standalone Pacific Sales stores and standalone Yardbird stores are excluded.
Our Take
This is useful if you already plan to spend $250 on qualifying Best Buy purchases before the deadline. Avoid buying extra items just to qualify, and do not count on gift cards earning the credit because the terms exclude them.
Before You Act
- 1Check your Amex Offers for eligibility and enroll.
- 2Review the exclusions before purchasing.
- 3Use the enrolled card for $250 in qualifying purchases by December 31.
