The Compound Verdict
Synchrony quietly shelved this Visa in late 2024, then revived the partnership in April 2025 as the Cathay World Elite Mastercard with a $99 fee. The replacement is the only live US cobrand for Asia Miles today. Legacy Visa holders were the lucky ones; the currency is still excellent for oneworld awards even if this plastic is frozen in time.
