The Compound Verdict
This was one of the better-kept secrets in hotel cards: a fat bonus, automatic Gold and an anniversary points drip, all for a first-year-free fee. Bank of America shut it down in February 2026 and converted cardholders to the Unlimited Cash Rewards, ending Sonesta's only US cobrand. Travel Pass itself lives on, but there is no card path into it anymore.
